How to wash your lingerie the super easy way!

Machine Washing

When washing lingerie in a washing machine, a washable laundry bag is necessary. These can be found at any major department store usually in the lingerie department. The laundry bag is a small mesh bag with a zipper closing that holds the lingerie during washing. It looks like this:

Woolite is the best cleaning product to use but regular laundry soap is fine. Use a gentle cycle with warm water and add the soap to the water to let it blend. Before placing your lingerie inside the laundry bag, hook all bras so they don’t tangle. Be sure to zip the bag shut before dropping it into the washing machine.

After the washer has finished, remove the laundry bag. Unzip the bag and remove the garments from the bag. Carefully untangle any tangled pieces and place them back into the bag zipping it shut again. Place the bag in the dryer for about 10 to 15 minutes on a low temperature. Remove the bag from the dryer and your lingerie should be fresh and clean.

Handwashing Lingerie

Fill a tub or sink with warm water and Woolite (measure according to directions on the bottle). Place lingerie items in the water and let them soak for 10 to 15 minutes. The soaking will help soften the dirt and make it easier to remove. Once again, make sure your bras are hooked.
After soaking, gently rub the fabric together to remove the dirt. Be sure to do this one item at a time so the other fabrics do not rub together.
Remove the dirty water from the tub or sink and rinse each item until the water runs clear. Lay each garment flat on a towel, then gently role the towel into a tube to press out any excess water. After most of the water has been removed, lay flat or hang over a drying rack or clothes line to dry.

Note: if you ware washing padded bras, take the pads out and wash seperate to speed the drying time for both.
